Abstract :
This study use the wavelet theory and GIS spatial analysis techniques, combined with a variety of collected data, including DEM, field monitoring data, the existing conditions of power system, population, classified land use data and other data sources, set the threshold through the scale space theory, assess the solar energy resources of Liaoning Province comprehensively of different scales, then establish top classification of the model, while based on it, build models according to various utilization patterns of solar energy, then carry out a sub-class computing in areas which are appropriate to those utilization patterns . Eventually find suitable district for the development of solar power industry.
