Abstract :
The result of high-amplitude growth of consumption and the low-amplitude growth of production intensified the contradiction between supply and demand of crude oil, which requires a large amount of crude oil imported from abroad to meet the domestic consumption needs. Due to the fact that the forecast of the shipping import volume is an imperative component in our energy security system, this paper analyzed the current status of China´s crude oil shipping imports and established the trend extrapolation model on the basis of oil imports data each year to forecast the future import volume of crude oil by sea for China.
