Abstract
The paper is discussing some aspects of providing location in wireless ISM bands networks. Particularly, the focus is on precision time stamping of messages needed to compute the location based on the information about time difference of arrival of signal from a mobile node to multiple fixed nodes with known positions. After presenting the particularities of such networks that influence ranging, solutions are given to increase accuracy along with practical results. Also, the paper contains application extension to other networks regardless their protocols or carrier signal modulation.
