Abstract :
A novel approach is presented that greatly reduces the amount of computation for the maximum-likelihood estimation of the multiple signal arrival directions. The approach iterates a finite sequence of linear regression procedures and is therefore called cyclic regression. It is believed that cyclic regression requires much less computation than MUSIC. Being very versatile, the approach can effectively handle array sensor uncertainties
