Abstract :
Tunable micromachined SOI Fabry-Perot waveguide cavities with high-index-contrast silicon/air Bragg mirrors are demonstrated. The devices can be tuned thermo-optically or using integrated micro-electro-mechanical systems. Device fabrication, experimental data, and simulation results will be presented.
