Abstract
Land resources are the foundation of existence and development of human being, its an important part of country resources. Urbanization and industrialization is very fast in Dalian City.In the process, too much agricultural land was transformed into construction land,which aggravated the contradiction between people and land.So how to achieve sustainable development and use of land resource, keep co-development between resource and environment, has become an urgent issue waiting to be solved. This paper statistics the related properties of agricultural land in Dalian City and builds database with advanced technologies such as GIS. Establishes evaluation index of the potentiality of agricultural land in Dalian City based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Evaluates agricultural land in Dalian City based on method of quantification and automation.The characteristics of numeric value disperse and spatial distribution of agricultural land potentiality in Dalian City are analyzed through region statistics and region mapping with MapInfo. Finally,based on the results, it puts forward some effective measures for the protection of agricultural land.The research shows that this method of evaluating agricultural land potentiality is simple and feasible. It reflects the potentiality of agricultural land in Dalian City verdically.
