Abstract
Progress of JT-60U experiments during last two years are summarized in this paper. After the achievement of world record in fusion triple product, experiments are shifted to the extension of operating regimes such as high performance quasi steady-state ELM´y H-mode, high performance full CD with a large bootstrap fraction, high βN operation, high triangularity and the reverse shear operations. We also accumulated a database for understanding ELM behaviour to solve our present difficulty to demonstrate high performance plasma at high (edge) density regime to achieve cold and dense radiative divertor plasma with enhanced confinement. We also demonstrated an effective He ash exhaust in the ELM´y H-mode which is a critical physics R&D issue for ITER. Extensive studies of various disruptions were made and effective methods to avoid disruption were proposed
