Abstract :
The authors present the method for the dynamic simulation of a motor running with faults in the bearing inner race. In simulation, a winding function approach is applied to model of a model induction motor with mixed eccentricities due to inner race faults. A spectral analysis of the electromagnetic torque developed by the simulated motor was compared to with those of vibrations resulting from experiments on squirrel-cage induction motors with faulty bearing. Experimental results confirm the validity and effectiveness of the proposed model.
