Abstract :
The gyrator-capacitor model of the magnetic components has shown it´s superiority in simulation for the electric and magnetic information integrity, convenience in the modeling and the mixed magnetic and electronic system simulation. This paper proposes an improved gyrator-capacitor core model, with a nonlinear resistor to simulate the hysteresis characteristic, with a nonlinear capacitor to simulate the core saturation. The model equation is presented in this paper as well as the parameter determination and optimization method. The simulation B-H curve comparing with that in datasheet proves the validity of the modeling method. The proposed simulation model is used in the system simulation of a 400 kHz buck converter and a multi-output converter with the magnetic amplifier regulator. The simulation results are consistent with the experimental results or the principle analysis, verifying the effectiveness of the proposed core model.
