Abstract :
This is a case study of a electroplating unit located in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra state. The energy audit indicated scope areas for conservation of energy. Energy audit study at the plant resulted in identification of the following energy saving opportunities. This study results in saving of about Rs 57,083 / year in the annual energy bill of the plant. Total approximate investment required about Rs 74280 which has a payback period of around 1.3 years. The savings proposed account for 25.70% of the total annual energy consumption of the plant.
