Abstract
Thermal and thermal stress analysis of an ITER divertor vane design concept is presented. Heat distributed on the vane surface is removed via high velocity flow in an array of passages. Changes made to this arrangement resulted in reduced thermal stress. The design approach is a promising concept for withstanding the prescribed steady state heat loads
