Abstract :
The time difference of arrival (TDOA) estimation as a particular time delay estimation (TDE) problem has many practical applications. One of them refers to leak detection and localization in fluid pipelines. This paper introduces the majority principle as a method to increase the probability of a correct localization of the leak, with important economic and environmental implications.
