  • Abstract
Wind turbine due to economical benefit and environment consciousness has gotten the fast development in these years. Comparing the running experience of American with TPC, we got the same result- high failure rate even 30% in 2008~2009 and long average repairing period [1]. Reliability of wind turbine is critical to extract maximum amount of energy from the wind and promote the economic performance. We reviewed different techniques, methodologies and algorithms which was developed to improve the performance of wind turbine as well as repaired cost to keep away the wind turbines from catastrophic conditions due to sudden breakdowns. We found to keeping the wind turbine in normal operation condition, implementation of asset management is paramount and for this purpose ample knowledge of asset management systems is mandatory.
