Abstract
With the development of Ethernet technology, Full Duplex Switched Ethernet shows great potential in hard real-time applications since its low cost and high bandwidth. In general, traditional Ethernet cannot provide deterministic service required for hard real-time applications. In this paper, we address a framework, which uses traffic shaper and SCED scheduling policy, to provide deterministic service in Full Duplex Switched Ethernet. Our analytical study shows that this framework can satisfy end-to-end delay requirement of the data flows. We also show that this framework can effectively allocate MUX resource and make adjusting the path of data flow easier.
