Abstract :
This paper aims to present a new approach including the magnetizing branches related to each winding´s terminal of multi-windings traction transformers. The mathematical background of this model is described. The determination of the different elements constituting the scheme is made through a finite-elements calculation of the main as well as the leakage inductances of the different windings (case of a four-windings transformer). A procedure is described, which allows deducing these elements from some measurements on the transformer by no-load and short-circuit operations
