Manufacturing integration through EBI

Manufacturing ownership of mature products and processes remains a priority at IBM´s semiconductor fabrication facility in Essex Junction, Vermont. The objective of ownership is to make the manufacturing organization as self-sufficient as possible. The program established to achieve this objective is known as engineering build-in (EBI). Through EBI, process control responsibilities are integrated into the manufacturing organization.
