Abstract
Obviously, transformer winding type has a great effect on flux leakage which it´s turn affect voltage drop, magnetic losses and transformer efficiency. In this paper, winding type effect on flux leakage is investigated using 2D finite element method. For this purpose two main winding type namely, helical and sandwiches windings, are considered and flux leakage is computed for each winding. Also effect of winding type on electro-magnetic forces is evaluated and investigated
