Abstract :
The vibration signal can reflect the operating process of the mechanism of high voltage circuit breaker. The characteristics of the vibration of a spring mechanism circuit breaker in time and frequency domain and its variation rule along with operation times during the mechanism endurance test were investigated in this paper. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the signals of more than 1000 no-load switching operations, such as the vibration and the coil current, the extract method of the mechanism vibration events and their timing sequence characteristics was defined. The vibration signal´s time domain characteristics of opening and closing operation were given out. Different signal processing methods, such as FT (Fourier Transformation) and Wavelet packet were compared in extracting the frequency domain characteristics of the vibration signals. The practice method to present the frequency domain characteristics of the vibration signal was given out. The results presented in this paper is meaningful to establish the combined online monitoring and diagnosis system based on the vibration and coil current for high voltage circuit breakers.
