Abstract :
New contactless power supply system realizes contactless power transmission by the combination of electromagnetic inductive coupling and power electronic techniques. Modeling of the system is done by the fundamental mode approximation method and mutual inductance model, which provide a simplified analysis of the system. The effects that operational frequency, different primary and secondary compensation topologies and load resistance have on system performance have been analyzed. Results show that secondary compensation can improve the power transfer capability greatly, while primary compensation can reduce the required VA rating of the power supply obviously, which is a major system cost
