Abstract :
We report on the fabrication of high quality embedded channel waveguides inside Bi-doped silicate glass using femtosecond waveguide inscription. When optically pumped, ultrabroadband fluorescence emission of 500 nm (FWHM) is detected, centered at 1.3 mum.
