Abstract :
The projection set in a helical computed tomography scan is inherently incomplete and inconsistent. This is caused by the constant patient translation during the data acquisition process. We present an interpolative algorithm using the projections acquired within 2π view angle. We compare the image quality of this algorithm with one of the best helical reconstruction algorithms available today and demonstrate its superior performance
