            Abstract :
This paper describes a CMOS variable gain amplifier (VGA) circuit that maintains a 3 dB bandwidth greater than 110 MHz throughout its gain range. The VGA provides a 70 dB-gain control range in 2 dB steps. The gain is controlled digitally through a decoder. The VGA is fully differential and is implemented in a standard 3 V, 0.6 μm CMOS process. The overall supply current is below 6 mA
