Abstract
The element free Galerkin method (EFGM) to problems in three dimensional (3D) electromagnetic computations is proposed in this paper. The results with different weight functions are compared to the exact solution to evaluate the performance of the weight functions. The penalty method is used to implement the essential boundary conditions in the EFGM. The application of the EFGM in 3D problems is given to show the correctness of the method and the developed program
