            Abstract : 
A newly-developed digital signal processor (DSP) for an electronic still camera has been implemented on multiple field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). The DSP generates luminance and chrominance signals from a single-chip CCD imager with a complementary color filter array. The FPGA-prototyping rapidly verifies the functionality prior to its ASIC fabrication
