Abstract :
This paper presents a new method using wavelet packet transform to fault diagnosis of the hydroelectric generating. The use of wavelet packet analysis unit to achieve multi-level vibration signals of wavelet packet decomposition, the analysis provides a favorable means of the high-frequency signals that may exist in fault signal detection and identifications. Computer simulation shows that this signal analysis method is very effective for hydro-generator unit vibration fault diagnosis.
