Abstract :
A systolic array realization for 2-D digital filters is presented. It is based on the Chan´s Local State-Space model. This structure has the minimum number of states (minimum delays). A technique is also presented to reduce the number of multipliers to its minimum. Conditions that the system eigenvalues have to satisfy to ensure low sensitivity with respect to the variations in the multipliers are developed.
