Title :
Very efficient fluorescent background suppression in confocal Raman microscopy
Author_Institution :
Univ. of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Milwaukee
Abstract :
Time-gated optical imaging is employed for the first time to achieve confocal Raman microscopy. The innovative laser design and a careful selection of the Kerr-gate material allows to reduce fluorescent background by 1000 times.
