Abstract :
A fundamental mathematical model is required to describe the dynamic motion of the hybrid-engine. Based on the mathematical model, simulation programs have been developed These programs are used to predict the operation of the motor/generator and to develop a control strategy. The simulation results are included. Two structures for the hybrid-engine have been considered. One uses a single cylinder and the other one uses two cylinders. The design of both structures was studied and simulated to improve power output and efficiency
