  • Abstract
The CALIES (Computer Aided Locomotion by Implanted Electrical Stimulation) project described aims at restoring gait to paraplegics. Many groups have worked on this subject, and have obtained some promising results. We try to synthesise their works and bring some new perspectives to the unresolved problems. For this reason, we have evaluated the capacities of new technologies, like neural networks for instance, to improve the existing systems, or to find some completely new solutions
