Abstract :
The paper presents a new mathematical definition for fuzzy timed Petri nets. It describes how synergistic fuzzy timed Petri nets can be employed for modelling, monitoring and control the product quality in a CNC milling machining centre. The synergistic technique utilises two fuzzy timed Petri nets and fuzzy timed Petri net combiner in order to identify the quality of surface finish. It also shows how the technique can react when the quality is high, medium, or low. The surface finish represents the qualify specification of products from the CNC milling machining centre
