Abstract :
Chip is one of the important factors in high-speed cutting. In this paper, Sialon ceramic tool was used in turning of Inconel718. The macro, micro chip formation were analyzed at different cutting speeds. The interactions of the chip formation and cutting force, tool wear and surface roughness were analyzed at different cutting speeds. The deformation coefficient, shear angle, shear strain were calculated by the analysis of the macro chip formation. Rules of variation of the chip formation and deformation coefficient, shear angle, cutting force at different cutting speeds were investigated in high-speed turning of Inconel 718.
