Abstract :
A novel twin-spot launch is proposed for multimode-fiber (MMF) links. Experimental and theoretical investigation of the launch indicates a penalty reduction of = 50% of the 10 gigabit Ethernet allocation for EDC-enabled links over worst-case MMF.
