Abstract :
The development of DARPA research investment strategies which focus on future national security questions whose answers are deeply rooted in advancing technologies, will be discussed. Examples of research initiatives which have been undertaken will be described for areas such as: Internetting a variety of computer networks; Operating multiple microprocessors by clustering techniques; Symbolic correlation in imaging; Adaptive fire control systems; Adaptive decision aiding, Automatic information pacing and Adaptive multi-sensor processing.
