Abstract :
The paper comprises the design and structure of 60 Watt X-band power amplifier module. The module consists of amplifying, diagnostics, cooling and driving submodules. The four-way structure is proposed together with the application of a spatial power combiner based on a four-probe waveguide power splitter. The measurements results are very promising and show scalability of this solution towards higher power and good switching characteristics as well as very compact structure and simple mechanical manufacturing.
