Abstract
This paper presents a hard disk encryption method, which was based on four-dimensional hyperchaotic Lorenz equation and realized by the floating point Digital Signal Processor. The computer transmitted data to DSP through USB protocol chip. DSP generated the hyperchaotic sequences and encrypted the data. The encrypted data was transmitted to hard disk and could not be read correctly without right key. Experiments showed that this method was feasible and safe.
