Abstract :
In this paper, the impact of the interleaver, embedded in the encoder for a parallel concatenated code is studied. In the case where the length of the interleaver is restricted (and especially when the desired BER is small), we suggest using a structure interleaver, called a reverse block interleaver. Using this interleaver, we construct powerful multilevel codes with parallel concatenated codes as component codes
