Abstract
To obtain the optimization design method of the inductance of Boost converters, the Output Voltage Ripples (OVR) in each operating mode are analyzed, respectively. The maximum ORV (MOVR) is deduced. It is concluded that the converter in CISM has the smallest output voltage ripple independent of the inductance, while that the minimal inductance to guarantee the MOVR to be the lowest is the critical inductance of CISM and IISM in case of the lowest input voltage, therefore, the design method of the minimal inductance is obtained. The experiment results are in positive to the analysis showing the feasibility of the proposed methods.
