Abstract :
Peculiarities of the multi-beam acousto-optic Bragg diffraction of light by a multi-frequency acoustic signal concerned with developments of channel fiber-optic switch-multiplexer 1 times N are investigated. It was established that specialized two-dimensional acousto-optic deflector can perform the high efficiency multi-functional light switching for fiber-optic channels with rather advanced properties - the enhanced number of channels is up to few hundreds, the rise time is about few microseconds and the inter-channel cross talk does not exceed -45 dB.
