Abstract :
Making a national IN platform in Brazil has been a real challenge both to Telebros and to Alcatel. The challenges of the size of the country and the regional differences are discussed. The difficulty in handling a national platform with the participation of 27 different operators is described. These reasons resulted in specific requirements that made this a “tailor-made” system. A capacity of 300 CAPS makes this the largest intelligent network platform installed in the world
