Abstract
Due to the complementary nature of radio and optical wireless (infrared) both in capacity and coverage, the combined use of both for data transmission could have advantages over a single technique. Varying network and traffic conditions put a big challenge on the mobility management of such an integrated network. The strength of fuzzy logic is employed by proposed vertical handover (VHO) scheme to handle uncertainty and achieve an excellent performance under all studied circumstances.
