Abstract :
A service creation process (or environment) can be seen as a specialized type of a computer-aided software engineering process (or environment), which is tightly coupled with the intelligent network. As such, the following characteristics are considered essential: automatic code generation capability; independence from service control platform; integrated environment; and extendability. This paper examines those characteristics in detail and describes the ways to achieve these characteristics. It also discusses some issues relating to the current standardization activities and results
