Abstract
It is very necessary to research the forecasting approach and model for the non-detector intersections flow volume, for large-scale traffic control and traffic-induced the provision of real-time, effective information. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis method based on ridge trace analysis and fuzzy linear regression method. First, take into account the multicollinearity among input variables, the critical intersection is elicited based on ridge regression analysis, and then the fuzzy regression method is used to get flow forecasting model, and the non-detector intersection traffic flow is directly calculated by model. The experiment results demonstrate that the method proposed in the paper is applicable and effective.
