Abstract :
This paper presents a developed steady source for ultrasonic power emission. It was developed to be used as a transfer standard for calibration purposes, so that traceability can be improved, at first, for physiotherapy treatment equipment. Once compared to other similar devices, its power spectral density function presents equivalent harmonic distortion. A power level calibration was performed at 10 or 100 mW in the all options outputs frequency (1, 3 or 5 MHz). Its name is ULTRAE-325, and its results are similar to a commercial steady source for ultrasound power. As further development, a fully remote control feature will be designed, aiming to improve even more the device as a metrology standard. This power source has a patent pending at Brazil.
