Abstract :
We have successfully grown high quality piezoelectric single crystals of Sr3NbGa3Si2O14 (SNGS) and Sr3TaGa3Si2O14 (STGS) by the Czochralski technique. The piezoelectric stress constant epsiv11 and dielectric permittivity epsiv11 as well as elastic constants C11 E and C66 E were determined at temperatures up to 930degC for both crystals.
