Abstract :
The robust PID control for water temperature of an electrically heated boiler is discussed in this paper. The dynamic behavior of the boiler when heated by the single phase Silicon Controlled Rectifier(SCR) is identified from the measured step response data. Parameters of an incomplete differential PID controller are tuned based on H control theory and then it is used to control the water temperature for the underlying system, the effects of the filter parameter on the system robustness and performance are studied. Simulation results show that this tuning method is convenient, and the system is well robust.
