Abstract :
We analyzed the bit error performance of an OFDM-CDMA multicarrier transmission system with waveform shaping. It is shown that such a data shaping decreases the side lobes of the transmitted signal. Classical OFDM systems based on DFT make use of a guard interval in order to improve the performance in multipath fading channels. A part of the loss due to the power transmitted during the guard interval can be compensated efficiently by a waveform shaping which is proposed. The performance of the OFDM-CDMA systems using different shaping waveforms are presented
