Abstract :
When applying the environmental monitor platform, the wireless sensor network needs lowering energy consumption, enlarging the covering area, and increasing accuracy so that we can save cost and obtain long-term real-time effective data of environmental monitoring. Based on the overall design of environmental monitoring system platform, this essay researches relative covering models of wireless sensor network, such as Boolean Coverage Model and Truncated Coverage Model, and then designs the star-shaped deployment coverage model, so that the cost and coverage area optimization will be achieved. The experiment findings proved that the model could reduce nodes in reality and increase the coverage area, and be of significance to corresponding project application.
