Abstract
Recent advances concerning the problem of finding Internally Controlled Switching Instants (ICSI) in Switched RLC (SRLC) Circuits by means of Interval Analysis (IA) are reported in this paper. A method is proposed which is based on the joined application of real analysis and IA, using Krawczyk´s operator to detect safe starting regions for Newton´s formula. Further improvements concerning intervals width minimization have been realized, which ensure fast convergence and high reliability. Some examples of applications are presented, concerning the numerical analysis of switching converters, for which the most significant computational aspects are discussed
