Abstract
This paper proposed a method of supervising power system harmonic trends. The method applies a window function on the transformed signals to control their span intervals. By this approach, it helps monitor the harmonic components of transformer inrush current and arc furnace disturbances. The method has been tested on a transformer under various load conditions and an arc furnace in a steel plant. Testing results present the superiority of the proposed method for the applications
