Abstract :
Most of the results concerning the crosscorrelation of linear shift register sequences over finite fields focus on maximal sequences. We consider the periodic crosscorrelation of sequences (ai) and (bi) where (bi) is obtained by a decimation factor d from a maximal sequence (ai) and d is not relatively prime to pn-1. We look at the consequences of this generalization regarding the crosscorrelation function in general
